HOW TO IMPROVE YOUR LIFE, INSIDE AND OUT

Before I retired as a commercial truck driver, driving from Woodland, CA to Calgary, Alberta each week, in a sedentary job, I was concerned about gaining weight. I also had concerns about becoming a diabetic like most of my immediate family. To combat both, I lived a keto lifestyle for eight years and thrived.

At first, I didn’t know the meal plans I was doing had a name, “keto”. I simply cut out sugar and carbohydrates and increased protein and healthy fat. After several months, I was talking to a friend who was a ketogenic coach. I had no idea what that was, and she explained it was a low-carb diet with 5% Carbohydrates, 20% protein and 70% fat. Once in ketosis, your body uses fat as your fuel.

Once I knew what keto was and the optimum macro percentages, my results were staggering. I created recipes I would meal prep for the week and shared them on Bells Keto On the Go.

RETIREMENT:

When I retired I fell into old habits of eating crap food and gained twenty pounds. Also, my fasting glucose levels were of a pre-diabetic. Until recently, when I made some drastic changes regarding my health and my diet by doing a 90-day Carnivore Challenge. I have been sharing weekly updates on my carnivore journey. My hope is if I can help someone tag along with me on the carnivore journey, then it will be worth sharing intimate details, such as weight, measurements, blood glucose, and blood pressure.
