Have you ever wondered if women’s clothing sizes gotten smaller?

Andy and I first started dating a 150 years ago. I weighed 103 lbs and wore a size 0/1 in Rocky Mountain jeans. I’m 5’8″ so I was pretty thin. I now wear a size 4. Before I started carnivore my size 4 was a tight size 4. Now my jeans fit comfortably and loose in the waist.

The other day I was folding laundry, and I shook the wrinkles out before folding my jeans. When I held them up, I couldn’t help but notice the ass end looked bigger than my old jeans from years ago.

Of course, this made me curious so down a rabbit hole I go. You are welcome! The technical term is “Vanity Sizing”. Yes! I mentally gave them a big middle finger.

This practice began in the 1980s as American consumers have increasingly gotten bigger. The “Vanity Sizing” was to make the consumer feel good about themselves and to increase sales. Middle fingers are flying.

First, the SAD (Standard American Diet) makes us fat, then the clothing industry cooks the books. All of it for our hard-earned dollar.

No wonder there are so many people especially women with body image issues and eating disorders.

Day 1 of week 11 on the carnivore diet. Coincidentally, the day after getting back to 10k steps a day, my smart scale is absolutely brilliant with a downward movement.

My weight has been bouncing between 145.7 lbs to 147.3 lbs for the last few weeks. This morning I was at 145.2 Don’t laugh, I hear you laughing. I’ll take it even if it’s less than  a 1/4 pound.

In last week’s update, I stated I will work on lowering my heavy cream intake in my coffee. Clearly, not today ☺️️.

Again, my goal is to share what I am doing and the results, good, bad or indifferent. Full transparency!  I love my coffee and I’m not 100% sure I will give up the way I like to drink it. As part of full disclosure, this will be a struggle. Honestly, if I break the stale with activity (10k a day) I will NOT change my coffee. But this will remain to be seen as I am your Guinea pig.
