Carnivore Challenge Week 6: WHAT DID I DO WRONG?
Carnivore Challenge Update Week 6 will be short and sweet, maybe? I can tell you halfway through week 6. I was PISSED.

Carnivore Challenge Update Week 6- will be short and sweet, maybe? I can tell you halfway through week 6. I was PISSED.
Under the heading of DAMNED IF I DO, DAMNED IF I DON’T…
Almost every day I walk a minimum of 10k steps but more like 15k. I enjoy getting out and walking. With the sun hitting my face and seeing the faces of others. Many from all over the world visit the little tourist town of St Augustine, FL.
Walking lubricates my joints and keeps me moving. One of my favorite yoga instructors (on DVD) is Rodney Yee. He has a line that says, “A body in motion, stays in motion”. I believe this with all my heart and joints.
Before I started the Carnivore Challenge, my joints were killing me. They hurt while sitting “relaxing” (not very relaxing when you are in pain) and watching TV. My joints hurt when I walked. When I did sleep, often the joint pain was one of the sources of waking me up. Since about the second week of the Carnivore Challenge, the pain in my joints started to subside. Now my joints only ache a little if I overdo my walks, you know, walk like seven miles. Things were heading in the right direction. In Week 5 Update, I had lost more than half of my first goal, eleven and a half pounds.
THEN!
In the first part of week 6, my scale (Dumb Scale!) went from 148.5 to 150.1. I know, I know, I can hear you roll your eyes at me. I get it. It’s less than a pound and a half, but it messes with your psyche. Especially when you are doing everything right, you’re moving your body and you’re eating Carnivore (and loving it) what Dr. Berry calls a “Proper Human Diet”. And the dumb scale goes up. As I was freaking out, I heard a voice in the back of my head yelling at me, no, not yelling, calmly saying;
“Check your measurements”
| 1/29/2025 | 2/6/202 |
| High hips 31.25″ | High hips 32″ = +.75 inch |
| Waist 31″ | Waist 30″ = 1 inch |
| Hips 36″ | Hips 35.5″ = .5 inch |
| Low hips 36.5″ | Low hips 36″ = .5 inch |
| Below bust 32″ | Below bust 31.5″ =.5 inch |
| Bust 37″ | Bust 36″ = 1 inch |
| Above bust 38″ | Above bust 35.5″ (aka back fat) = 2.5 inches |
| R-arm 10.5″ | R-arm 10.5″ no change |
| L-arm 10.75″ | L-arm 10.5″ = .25 inch |
| R-thigh 21″ | R-thigh 20.5″ = .5 inch |
| L-thigh 21″ | L-thigh 20.5″ = .5 inch |
| Total weekly loss 7.25 inches |

A couple of days later, my dumb scale magically turned back into my smart scale and once again said I was at 148.5, but today it is a brilliant scale.
